I am sorry that your Shih tzu has ear problems. While your groomer might be able to remove the ear gunk for you, it would just come back again if you don't take care of the underlying problem. I'm also sorry to tell you that there are no vets here on Yahoo! Answers. Your dog does need to see a vet, and SOON. Ear infections are very painful for the dog and require prescription medications to clear up.
